THE MAN BEHIND THE PAGES

NATHANIEL BENNETT

About Nathaniel Bennett

Nathaniel Bennett was born in a rural town in Oregon. His family has lived in Oklahoma, Texas, California and Washington. For all the big towns, small towns and major cities, Nathaniel chose to live on a farm, far from all the madness (as he puts it)of city life.

Married now for nearly fifty years Nathaniel and his wife have lived in the same place for over twenty five of those years. Both are active in their church and community. Nathan builds beautiful furniture from the timber he harvests and mills from his property. He is also building a fleet of minibikes and go carts for his grand children. As of this writing Nathan is putting a custom engine (he built) on his own personal minibike with the goal of breaking 60 mph:) Much more interesting than the twenty or so mph it would do when he got it. Read Caroline's Secret. He is getting ready to build the second bike described in that book.

I think he's crazy, but that hasn't stopped me from riding whatever he puts together. Which makes my wife think I'm crazy. Whatever...
Nathan started writing over thirty years ago, but has only in the last decade sought to publish. He now belongs to two different writing groups. He also gives creative writing workshops for those interested in learning to tell stories. In fact, that's how Nathaniel got started. When his children were small, they would ask for bedtime stories. Instead of reading from a book, Nathan would make a story up on the spot, out of thin air. Characters with names, personalities and even different voices. All woven into adventures that took these characters to fanciful places. Now he gets to share new stories with his grand children. At this time Nathan has five books published, however, 6,7,8,9 and 10 are in the works.

Please enjoy what Nathan has shared in his story telling. I do, but then I'm slightly biased.
Nathan has been my friend for as long as I can remember.

It's a wonderful thing for children. They need that so much. In all the world, we see so much sadness. This one is a good one, a child would like to read. May many more stories come in the same way you have done in this book. PS Even adults like to look back to see the beauty for children and for parents. It's for everyone. Keep them coming.
