Here’s to hoping everyone had a fun and blessed Thanksgiving. Our Thanksgiving is happening today, only because this is the one day the whole family can get together. Although we are retired, the rest of the family isn’t.
Turkey goes in the smoker between noon and 1. Dinner is around six. Don’t worry, I’ve done this before, the turkey will be done in time.
For those of you following the progress of Yank, it’s pretty much on schedule. I have stopped writing on it for the moment so I can do a story review. I want to make sure the story line is coherent and none of the characters died without me knowing it. (Writers joke). It also gives me a chance to review what I have written to make sure I haven’t gone off on a bender and have to do a huge rewrite later.
To remind all of you, my goal is to have Yank ready for editing around the first of the year and ready to publish around March. This will complete the Haggenville series. Then it’s on to Forever Ten, Aaron and the Stranger, Out of time (sequel to Caroline’s Secret), Boxers or Briefs a Book of Shorts Vol. 2, The Ashes of Castlemont Second Edition and whatever else climbs into my subconscious at two in the morning.
It’s also been a minute since I’ve given all of you a writing prompt. Here you go. “100 word story about a childhood memory.” It is possible. Mine was about Chef boy R Dee. If you do it, let me know in the comments. Invite your friends too subscribe and give me a like.
Be the coolest version of you that you can be. Till next time.
